Children will be kept entertained with fantastic new skills to try out at home during the half term holidays, thanks to free workshops in everything from crafts to culinary skills at intu Victoria Centre and intu Broadmarsh.

As part of intu’s mission to ‘make it amazing’ for families this half term, experts at the shopping centres will be running a packed week of exciting activities to help children pick up fun new skills and make something amazing, like vegetable characters or an emoji door-hanger.

Different activities will be taking place at intu Victoria Centre and intu Broadmarsh each day until Friday, with the week kicking off on Monday at intu Victoria Centre with a cookie decorating workshop. Families can go online at intu.co.uk to find out what’s on and where this half term.

Nicola McCabe, marketing manager at both centres, said: “We’ll be helping families make the most of half term with the opportunity for children to leave our centres having made something amazing or picked up a new skill they’ll be looking forward to trying again at home.

“We’ve worked hard to put together a fun-packed set of free activities that put a smile on the face of all our little shoppers at both centres and we can’t wait for them to see what we have in store.”

The events on offer at each day from 11am – 4pm, are:

Monday 30 May – Cookie creations decorating class

Tuesday 31 May – Emoji extravaganza door-hanger class
Wednesday 1 June – Wooden spoon teddy puppet class
