FAMILIES can look forward to a half term of ‘pandamonium’ as intu Victoria Centre and intu Broadmarsh celebrate the return of everyone’s favourite dumpling-eating Kung Fu master, Po, in Kung Fu Panda 3 with a range of fun activities.

These activities are part of a national Kung Fu Panda 3 celebration across all 15 intu UK shopping centres.

When Po’s long-lost panda father suddenly reappears, the reunited duo travel to a secret panda paradise to meet scores of hilarious new panda characters.  But when the supernatural villain Kai begins to sweep across China defeating all the kung fu masters, Po must do the impossible – learn to train a village full of his fun-loving, clumsy brethren to become the ultimate band of Kung Fu Pandas!

Kung Fu Panda 3, one of the most successful animated franchises in the world, releases across cinemas in the UK on 11 March.

Building on the excitement in the run-up to the film’s release, intu Broadmarsh and intu Victoria Centre will be offering a range of Far-Eastern inspired events. Activities are free, with no booking required and are open to all ages, but are particularly suitable for children in pre-school and early years.

Nicola McCabe, marketing manager at both centres, said: “We love welcoming little shoppers during the school holidays so we’ve got a jam-packed week of fun, free family activities with Kung Fu Panda to keep everyone entertained. Best of all, it’s free!

“At intu Victoria Centre, children will be able to come along and design their very own martial arts bandana so they can really look the part before heading over to intu Broadmarsh later in the week to learn some moves of their own and put their bandanas to good use.

“Our team of martial arts experts will not only be giving a series of live performances throughout the day to entertain the little ones, but they will be giving children the opportunity to give it a go for free and learn some cool Kung Fu moves.”

Trevor Pereira, commercial and digital director of intu, said: “Half term can be a real juggling act with parents struggling to entertain the children while trying to get through their to-do list. This programme of activities in partnership with Dreamworks Animations Kung Fu Panda 3 ensures parents can enjoy a stress-free shopping trip knowing their children are having fun in a safe environment at no cost to them – just another example of intu’s great, family friendly facilities.”

Craft workshops will take place at intu Victoria Centre from Monday 15 February to Wednesday 17 February from 11am to 4pm on the upper mall.

On Thursday 18 and Friday 19 February children will be able to take part in free martial arts workshops at intu Broadmarsh between 11am and 4pm. Live performances will take place throughout the day and there will also be craft activities for our little guests to enjoy.
