‘She Comes Home’ is the next chapter in Banfi’s story. Following in the footsteps of ‘Happy When You Go’ and ‘Rosedale House’, the new single sees the band come full circle but with added confidence and clarity of vision that could only have been crystalized through hard graft on the road.
The band’s songs mix the bounce of Phoenix with the anthemic hooks of The 1975 while retaining heart, soul and intelligence. The band’s eclectic influences are channelled into every song underpinned by often deceptively good riddance lyrics, channelling themes such as regret and existential question marks – as lead singer Joe Banfi puts it, “When we write these songs, we give it literally everything that’s in us, everything we’ve ever listened to.”
After setting the internet alight with their genre-melding guitar-inflected singles ‘Happy When You Go’ and ‘Rosedale House’, Banfi have spent the last year winning over fans on the road. Having already completed a string of dates across Europe supporting Bear’s Den, they concluded their headline four-date residency at The Old Blue Last, plus, festival slots at Live At Leeds, Dot to Dot festival and Bushstock Festival.
As Banfi look to elevate their sonorous buzz to a new level, the band are warming up for their festival appearances at Y Not, Truck, Victorious and a return to Citadel festival for a second year. This is all before embarking on their debut headline September tour, which culminates with a London show at at The Lexington on 12th September.
