Energetic trio, Banfi, today announce details for their first ever UK headline tour, kicking off in Glasgow on September 10th 2017 and concluding in Leeds on September 19th. Tickets for the tour, which also includes a night at Nottingham’s Bodega, go on general sale on Friday 24th March at 9am at http://www.seetickets.com/ tour/banfi

News for the headline tour follows a recent run of sold-out residency shows at The Old Blue Last in London, and the start of their tour with fellow Communion Records act Bear’s Den. They support the British rockers on the road in the UK and Europe this March and April, including a show at London’s Hammersmith Apollo on April 5th.

The burgeoning alternative-pop newcomers are made up of Joe Banfi, Aaron Graham and Chris McCuaig, and based in Leytonstone, London. Having made quite the introduction in 2016 with their genre-melding guitar-inflected single ‘Happy When You Go’, the three-piece returned this year with new single ‘Rosedale House’. The track, which has the makings of a future festival anthem, reaffirmed the band’s skill for creating arresting vibrant melodies and fuzzy rock textures. Since it’s launch, the single has been added to the Radio X playlist as well as Virgin Radio’s – most notably as Edith Bowman’s Record of the Week.

Banfi’s irresistible hooks and choruses take influence from left-field pop acts including Alt-J and The Knife as well as the minimal mathletics of Foals and the huge stagecraft of The Police. “The energy of The Police that is found in their live performance it’s something we want to try and put across.” says singer and guitarist, Joe.

Ahead of their UK tour dates, the band conclude their residency of The Old Blue Last with a final gig on April 26th, before warming up for the September tour with a number of festival appearances this Summer. The band will perform across the UK at festivals including; Live at Leeds, Dot To Dot, Bushstock, Y Not, Truck Festival and a return to Citadel festival for a second year. This much in demand band are not one to be missed.
