LARP Documentary screening at Savoy tonight

A new documentary which explores the mysterious world of Live Action Role Play (LARP) will screen at The Savoy Cinema tonight, giving viewers a chance to delve into the lives of those that take part in this hugely popular event.

Treasure Trapped follows three friends as they take a journey into the world of LARP and try to find out what it means to be a live action role-player and to take pretending to a whole new level. From hundreds of people  fighting in the woods of England to the only school in the wold that teaches through role-play, Treasure Trapped is described as “an exploration beyond the facepaint into the beating heart of a community”.

The 90 minute documentary is directed by Alex Taylor, who also stars alongside Michael Surman and Nick Peel and is backed by Manchester production company Cosmic Joke; role-playing games fan, and worldwide DJ, Kristian Nairn – best known as playing the lovable Hodor in Game of Thrones acts as an Executive Producer on the film.
