NottinghamLIVE Radio Show: Preview – 4 September 2013

We kick off our first show of September with a bang as we take a look at two amazing festivals hitting Nottingham this weekend.

Both Macmillan Fest and the Amazement Festival are set to be superb music events, both featuring some fantastic Nottingham talent, and both raising money for great causes.

What’s more we have lined up, as our live guests this week, a band that are playing both LONG DEAD SIGNAL.

This Nottingham alt-rock act perform, in their own words, “beautiful music about terrible things” and they do it damn well, though they’ve been relatively quiet of late we’re looking forward to seeing them perform, and they’ll be headlining the NottinghamLIVE.co.uk stage at Macmillan Fest, as well as performing at Amazement Fest on the Sunday.

Tune in to hear this great band live on Wednesday, and don’t forget you can ask the guys anything you want by tweeting your questions to @nottinghamlive – don’t forget to use the hashtag #AskLDS

Also joining us in the studio will be Kris Davis, head man at IKE Production, and the brains behind Macmillan Fest. Having launched the festival back in 2010 after one of his teachers was diagnosed with cancer, Kris has grown the festival from a three act gig to a massive multi-stage festival featuring some of the best bands from Nottingham and beyond.

As always we’ll have great music, all picked from acts performing at either Macmillan Fest or Amazement Festival – and we’ll have all the information on both.

So make sure you tune in, this Wednesday, 7-10pm for the best in Nottingham music only on Trent Sound
