‘Authentically retro whilst simultaneously absolutely contemporary’ – Mark Radcliffe, BBC 6 Music

Following two sell-out headline shows at the well-respected Notts venue ‘The Maze, and a high profile slot at London’s O2 Academy, Islington; “one of Nottingham’s best live bands” have now secured top-billing at another prestigious venue in Nottingham, The Bodega, on Saturday 16th April.

This comes after national airplay on Mark Radcliffe’s show and Tom Robinson’s BBC Introducing show on BBC 6 Music and several high profile support slots at top Nottingham venues (The Bodega, Rescue Rooms, The Golden Fleece and The Maze) with established signed bands including Paul Weller-championed The Moons, Exit Calm, Mark Morriss and Misty Miller whilst supporting their album during 2014, 2015 and into this year.

Their signature retro-but-contemporary sound has received great reviews for both their recorded and live work, with respected music blog Pennyblack Music describing their album launch gig as a “pure, raw and funk-laden rock bubble that is their immense live act”.

Online music magazine The Even Ground scored their debut album a rare 4.0 out of 5 with ‘Top Album’ status, stating “Out of sixteen songs there were surprisingly no duds in the mix” and Nottingham’s premier events magazine Leftlion concluded of the same: “with its toe-tapping beats and smooth vocals, this album is guaranteed to have you dancing around your room in no time”

The band have already recorded several tracks towards their eagerly-awaited second album, to be released later in 2016 and a good part of their set will be showcasing these fresh new tunes to their loyal following. Says lead singer John Selby: “We didn’t know what to expect when we first headlined The Maze, but were all overwhelmed at the response and attendance at both shows. To now be headlining The Bodega is unbelievable, it’s one of the best music venues around!”

Support on the night is from Catbone and another band to be confirmed at time of writing.
