Henri Herbert – Piano-Playing Phenomenon

HENRI_PRESS
Henri Herbert on The Third Stage Theatre Royal on Monday night shone. Henri has recently gone viral on Youtube with almost 9,000,000 views , his fingers must be made of ‘titanium’ was the intro, he plays the blues without let up and with complete ease and command.

We first heard Henri 11 years ago when he was a teenager at the Running Horse, Canning Circus, he was mesmerising then and even more so now, nowadays though as an extra treat he sings old classics and some of his own compositions.

The whole performance was phenomenal, but I particularly enjoyed his ‘mysterious’ ballad ‘I don’t know where I’ve gone’ it was such a contrast, to his ‘supercharged boogie woogie’.

His supreme talent has taken him all over the world, America, Russia, Japan, Canada and so on but he will be back in Nottingham at the Rescue Rooms 29th August with his new band.
