DHP Family up for top music award

Nottingham based promoters DHP Family are in the running for a top award at industry bible Music Week’s Awards 2015. The company, who run local venues including Rock City and the Rescue Rooms and are also behind top Nottingham festivals Splendour, No Tomorrow and Dot to Dot, are up for the prestigious ‘Live Music Promoter of the Year’ award, the winner of which will be decided by hundreds of judges from senior positions across the music industry.

Talking about the nomination DHP Family’s George Akins said “We’re delighted to be a finalist – the Music Week awards are the most prestigious in the industry”.

The past year has seen DHP Family continue to grow in all areas of their work from putting on three consecutive shows for Ed Sheeran at Wembley to opening their first London club venue ‘Oslo’ as well as the launch of brand new festival No Tomorrow in Nottingham.

DHP Family will find out if they have won at a prestigious ceremony at London’s Grosvenor Hotel on April 9.
