STAR-STUDDED PANTOMIME LAUNCHES AT THEATRE ROYAL, NOTTINGHAM

Shane Richie and Dr Ranj bought some early Christmas sparkle to the city today as the theatre royal unveiled the cast for this year’s magical family pantomime

The Theatre Royal Nottingham unveiled their star-studded line-up this week for this year’s adventurous family pantomime, Dick Whittington.

TV favourite and panto legend Shane Richie leads the cast in the title role, and TV Doctor and children’s BAFTA winner Dr Ranj will play Spirit of Bow BellsThey were joined bymusical theatre star Anne Smith who will play Queen Rat, and performer Kenan-Lewis Smith who will star as Dick Whittington’s trusty sidekick, Kitty Cat. They were welcomed to Nottingham by friends and patrons of the theatre and were given a warm East Midlands welcome!

The full cast will be completed by Emily Beth Harrington as Alice Fitzwarren, and panto dame extraordinaire Iain Stuart Robinson, who joins the cast as Sarah the Cook. 

Dick Whittington is staged by Crossroads Pantomimes, the world’s biggest pantomime producer, led by Michael Harrison and the creative team behind recent Theatre Royal successes including last year’s production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
