Gigantic is celebrating winning ‘Retail Business of the Year’ in a stunning evening at the 2017 Nottingham Post Business Awards, which reward the best businesses in the region.

As well as walking away with ‘Retail Business of the Year’, Gigantic was also shortlisted for the ‘International Trade Award’. The only ticketing agency to reach the finals, Gigantic joined more than 400 guests who attended the annual black-tie ceremony to honour businesses operating in sectors such as manufacturing, retail, science and technology, and creative industries.

With a successful decade of experience in the ticket industry, the ethical ticket seller works with many of the country’s biggest promoters, festivals and venues including Live Nation; Kilimanjaro; O2 Academy Brixton; Wembley Stadium; Reading & Leeds Festivals; Tramlines and Download. Gigantic continues to put emphasis on giving its customers a great experience and the award recognises the hard work that has gone into building the Gigantic brand.

Founder, Mark Gasson said: “Ten years on, we continue to trade, grow and thrive within an extremely competitive industry, so this award is a lovely recognition for all of our hard work.

“Nottingham’s business scene is booming and the tough competition across all categories support this success. Awards like these give recognition to independent businesses like Gigantic and what our great city has to offer.”

The award category was sponsored by intu Victoria Centre. Nigel Wheatley, general manager for intu in Nottingham, said: “We were proud to sponsor the Retail Business of the Year category for a second year running. Supporting and promoting Nottingham is something that is really important to us at intu and it was great to see the work Gigantic are doing to help establish the city as an event destination on a local and national scale.”

Held at East Midlands Conference Centre, in Nottingham, the annual award ceremony honours the best businesses in the region, with organisations shortlisted in 13 categories.
