Based on Heritage Mews at the edge of Nottingham’s Lace Market, Fairview Estates is a lettings and estate agent that specialises in the rental and sales of medium to high-end properties.

The story starts just over five years ago, when Rob Pitick and I saw a gap in the market for an estate agent with high-quality and bespoke customer service. We founded Fairview Estates in 2011 and haven’t looked back.

Fairview Estates is truly rooted in Nottingham and the East Midlands. Rob and myself are both Nottingham locals and have worked in the city’s estate agency industry for many years: you could say we know it like the back of our hand!

We pride ourselves on being a local and approachable agency: customer service is key. Whether you’re a prospective tenant or a landlord, you want your interactions with an estate agent to go as smoothly as possible, and our approach has been rewarded: we were named Nottinghamshire’s Estate Agent of the Year in 2014 and 2015.

Communication is really important. We make sure that we respond to all emails and phone calls within hours and invite customers into our offices whenever possible because although we live in a digital world, face to face communication is always best. Transparency is next on the list, you want to be able to trust your local estate agency. We’re fiercely against hidden fees and offer a very competitive rate on sales and lettings.

A landlord’s life is a busy one and can take you all over a region in a single day. That’s why we offer a bespoke service that tailors visit frequency and maintenance to the individual landlord.

Finally, we believe that Nottinghamshire’s sky sells and so we aim to include it in all of our listing photos. If we arrive to photograph your property on a grey day, we’ll definitely be back to capture the blue at another time.

However, it’s not just the city’s sky that attracts buyers, tenants and landlords to Robin Hood’s city. We’re lucky enough to be handling estate in the UK’s best city, well in our opinion anyway!

Nottingham and its surroundings are composed of many different locations, such as West Bridgford and The Park Estate close to the centre, and Newark and Mansfield within a short drive. All of these areas have established communities with good schools and amenities close by and are ideal for individuals, couples and families alike.

The city centre itself is a buzzing hub of commerce and culture. The newly refurbished Victoria Centre is the place to shop and the Cornerhouse entertainment complex place is the to drop, just five minutes away.

Sports fans will be attracted by the Capital One ice hockey arena, Trent Bridge cricket ground and two local football teams within just miles of each other. Nottingham also boasts two universities, four theatres, several art galleries and has been named a UNESCO City of Literature for life.

Next to the historic Lace Market and Hockley area, which boast independent restaurants, boutiques and bars, and are a hive of digital and creative activity.

This is all connected by the newly extended tram network and Park and Ride services running from the north and the south of the city.

And that’s not the end of it: Nottingham continues to grow, and so does its housing market.

The £250 million development of the intu Broadmarsh area will take place over the next five years, which will bring investment and increased demand for residential property. I predict that we’ll see house prices rise in the south of the city, particularly in The Meadows area.

We’ll see the demand for housing across Nottingham and the surrounding areas continue to rise as it has done for the past five years. New developments such as the 3000 new homes to be built in Clifton will go some way to meet this demand, but prices will continue to rise across the board.
