The National Ice Centre (NIC) is pleased to announce a brand new booking system which will enable customers to book various skating activities online via the NIC website.

The new bespoke system, created by Nottingham based business North 51 Digital, aims to improve the customer booking and purchasing experience as demand for booking activities online increases. Previously, activities were only available to book via phone or in person at the box office. The new system will ensure a speedy booking process for repeat bookers as their data is retained within the system. The NIC’s marketing team will also benefit by obtaining data to effectively target customers based on their interests.

Linda Gawthorp, Ice Sports Manager at the National Ice Centre said: “We’re delighted to be launching a new booking system for the NIC and look forward to seeing our customers benefit from using the system to book classes and sessions, we’re confident it will save people a lot of time.”

The various sessions and classes that can now be booked online at www.national-ice-centre.com are:

–       Skating lessons for tots, children and adults

–       Learn to play ice hockey courses

–       Figure skating/dance courses

–       Barrier hockey

–       Adult or junior scrimmage

–       Ice hockey camps and clinics

–       Practice ice (for competitive skaters)

121 coached lessons and public skating sessions, including parent & toddler sessions and theme parties are not yet available to book online.

In order for customers to enjoy a speedier booking process when they book future skating sessions, an account will need to be set up. This can be set up at www.national-ice.centre.com.

Customers currently on a skating lessons course will need to contact the Box Office to update their grade level. Once this has been done, customers won’t need to do this again. Please contact the Box Office via IceSports@national-ice-centre.com.
