To celebrate Dry January, Ye Olde Bell Hotel & Spa has partnered with non-alcoholic spirit producer, CROSSIP, to create a bespoke brunch and cocktail masterclass with founder, TV mixologist, Carl Anthony Brown.
On New Year’s Day, Ye Olde Bell in Barnby Moor, will host a special brunch, featuring a selection of CROSSIP cocktails and a range of sumptuous morning treats.
Cocktails, designed specifically for Ye Olde Bell by award-winning mixologist Carl, includes the Fresh Breeze made with CROSSIP’s Fresh Citrus and a classic non-alcoholic mimosa. This will be accompanied by dishes such as Smoked haddock bubble & squeak, crispy poached egg & lemon butter or Eggs florentine with paprika hash potatoes.
On Friday, January 21st, Carl will be hosting a free cocktail masterclass, where guests can learn how to make a selection of drinks, discover insider tips and then enjoy the delicious drinks.
Following the masterclass, guests can book dinner, where cocktails will be paired with a selection of the dishes from the AA Rosette menu.
CROSSIP was founded by award-winning mixologist Carl Anthony Brown. Inspired by his love for cocktails, his passion for fitness and support for mental health issues, Carl was driven to design a better tasting alcohol-free drink.
Carl has been a drinks expert on shows such as Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch and ITV’s This Morning. Some of his accolades include winner of ‘The Young British Foodies’, IMBIBE ‘Drinks List of the Year plus many more.
He said: “I’m delighted to be hosting this one off masterclass at Ye Olde Bell. January is often a time when people reassess their drinking and decide to take a little time off.”
“When I created CROSSIP, I wanted to design a drink for all those people who are looking for a mature, flavourful non-alcoholic option when they are out. Sadly all too often, their choices are limited to sugary soft drinks or water.
“I hope guests will enjoy the non-alcoholic cocktails served. I’ll also be sharing some insider knowledge so people can then enjoy making their own cocktails at home.”

The New Year’s Day Dry Brunch will be served from 10am to 12 noon £40 PP. The cocktail masterclass on Friday January 21st from 6pm. This event is complimentary but tickets are limited and on a strictly first come, first served basis.
