News: The Harley Gallery Awarded Best Shopping at the 2016 Hudson’s Heritage Awards

The Harley Gallery has picked up a prestigious Hudson’s Heritage Award in the Best Shopping category. Located on the Welbeck Estate, near Worksop, The Harley shop features an eclectic range of gifts, home wares, jewellery and accessories made by emerging artist talent from the estate as well as internationally recognised artists.  

 

Dan Cruickshank, distinguished architectural historian, presented the awards at Goldsmiths Hall in London, on Tuesday 1st March, with invited guests including owners and managers of the winning entries, representatives of the heritage tourist industry and the media.

 

The lunch was hosted by an independent judging panel of heritage experts including Chairman Norman Hudson OBE, heritage consultant; Lucinda Lambton, writer and broadcaster; Jeremy Musson, architectural writer; Simon Foster, consultant to Channel 4’s Country House Rescue and Ken Robinson, CBE, tourism business consultant.

 

Lisa Gee, Gallery Director at The Harley Gallery,  said: “We are delighted to have won a 2016 Hudson’s Heritage Award.
