Great Notts Show: Food & Drink Preview – 27-29 September

The Great Notts Show is now but days away, this weekend, from Friday to Saturday, the show will do, to steal from Ronseal, exactly what it says on the tin, by displaying the great and good of Nottingham, from live music to great food, children’s entertainment to art there will be a huge amount of stuff going on across the weekend and we here at NottinghamLIVE, as fellow lovers of this great city, can’t wait to get down to be a part of it all.

Such is the massive amount going on we’ve decided to break our previews down to make it easier for you to see just what is going on, to kick things off we’re taking a look at the Food side of things, with stalls, displays and restaurants across the weekend.

As part of the event there will be TWO on site restaurants available throughout the course of the weekend and both are presented by top Nottingham restaurants.

Fine dining Indian restaurant MEMSAAB and Mediterranean oasis YAMAS will both be providing on-site restaurants at the festival enabling you to enjoy from a selection of their great menus. Two of the finest Nottingham restaurants this will offer you the ideal chance to try their offerings if you haven’t done so already and we’re convinced once you have you’ll soon be booking into their restaurants for more.

Memsaab will also be serving their now famous barbecued meats on another stand at the festival.

That, however, is only a flavour (see what we did there) of what is on offer at the Great Notts Show with a huge amount of food stalls taking part.

SUEDE BAR, which is based on Heathcoate Street in Hockley, will be serving up their popular Artisan Pizza, world renowned butcher JT BEEDHAMS will be there serving up their award winning sausages as well as a hog roast, you can check out authentic greek food courtesy of EVIVA TAVERNA while for the caffeine lovers among you STEWARTS OF TRENT BRIDGE will be along with some of their locally roasted coffee beans.

MOLEFACE PUB COMPANY will be serving their fabulous Sunday dinners in a Yorkshire Pudding while those with a sweet tooth are suggested to check out SIMPLY CAKES.

Of course lets not forget the Real Ale Bar (with beer garden) courtesy of THE NAVIGATION – more on that here.

Add to that NACHOS AMEGOS, SWIFT’S TRADITIONAL SWEETS, REALLY WILD MEAT COMPANY and THE COOKIESHAKE CAFE among many many others and your food and drink needs are certain to be met.

That’s not including the Cookery Demo’s that will be taking place across the weekend – more on them to come.
