Shaun of the Dead star Nick Frost heads up another stellar line up as the East Midlands biggest convention returns this May. Frost, who has also appeared in hits like Hot Fuzz, Attack the Block and Fighting with my Family, will be returning to the convention and will be available for both autographs and photographs across the weekend.
Also appearing this year will be several members of the Red Dwarf cast, including Danny John-Jules, Robert Llewellyn and Chris Barrie, plus The Walking Dead stars Pollyanna McIntosh and Cooper Andrews, Legends of Tomorrow stars Matt Ryan and Arthur Darvill – who is perhaps even better known as Doctor Who’s Rory. Nottingham’s very own Matt Horne, best known for playing one of the leads in hit sitcom Gavin & Stacy, will be appearing on Saturday while Two Pints of Lager’s Will Mellor will be returning.
If you hear the words ‘Contender ready…’ and immediately know how to respond then you will be very excited to hear that several stars of the 90’s entertainment juggernaut that was Gladiators will be appearing on at the event – Hunter (James Crossley), Panther (Helen O’Reilly), Vogue (Suzanne Cox-Roberts), Ligtning (Kim Betts), Cobra (Michael Wilson) and everybody’s favourite Jet (Dianne Yodale) will all be available to meet.
Along with the huge selection of guests you can also check out some fantastic sets including the iconic Ghostbusters containment unit and the bunk room from Red Dwarf, plus there will be a Tardis, Delorean, Del Boy’s iconic yellow van and the one and only Johnny Five.
As they celebrate 10 years of fantastic events that have seen the convention grow from the Notitngham Albert Hall to the Motorpoint Arena, and seen appearances from stars of some of the best loved films and movies in the word, the Em-con team have once again put together a stellar weekend that is sure to be a unmissable event for convention fans.
Em-con 2022 is taking place the 28-29 May at the Nottingham Motorpoint Arena, for more information and tickets check out the official website.
