Entering the Theatre Royal today there was a lovely family vibe with flashing toys and pigs everywhere you looked. As we eagerly awaited the start of the show the young audience were excitedly bouncing and rocking on their booster seats waiting for the main pig herself, Peppa! Just as they are getting impatient (slight delay in starting) the show begins…

Daisy, a human character to bring the cartoon to life on stage, does the introductions, getting all the youngsters to shout their names and join in a game of hide and seek with the characters, which are very cleverly manned puppets. You can tell within the first few minutes this is going to be a very good show.

There are fantastic songs (new and known) and just the right level of interaction for the little ones to understand. Slick set changes and a simple plot keep the youthful audience engaged. It is an educational show and am sure parents will be pleased to know the often precocious Peppa is put in her place.

If anyone went to see the last Peppa Pig show, where it was just people in costumes prancing around to a soundtrack, you will pleased to know this show is on a ocmpletely different level. There is live singing and some great special effects, watch out for them during the muddy puddle scene! The highlight for me, as mean as it seems, was George crying, it actually made me LOL.

This is a must for any little Peppa fan out there, you still have time to go see it tomorrow, get your tickets here.
