With a complicated storyline based on Irish folklore we are transported through time with the help of the sprightly Little Spirit and her magic flute, a small flickering figure who dances and flits amongst the strong feuding warlords, helping the Lord of The Dance fight the Dark Lord, Don Dorcha, in a classic tale of good versus evil.
Through the enthralling language of dance in its many forms the Lord of The Dance is continually challenged by the masked Dark Lord and his army whose militaristic dancing forms an impressive barrier, their strength relied upon by the Dark Lord to aid him in his fight to become the new Lord of the land.
The ever changing backdrop to the show with its state of the art lighting and fantastic visual effects helps to portray the different stages of this fantastic journey adding intensity and atmosphere in which the fight takes place, ending with the Lord of The Dance overpowering the Dark Lord in this puzzling but utterly magical tale.
In this fantasy world where dance is the weapon used to win the war and a magic flute is used to calm the storm raging between the warlords, it goes without saying that the senses are treated to amazing sound and visual effects and of course the ultimate in the foot-stomping mesmerising agility of the dancers.
