Preview: Dot to Dot Festival – Stealth, Bodega & Jongleurs – 26 May 2013

In the third part of our Dot to Dot Festival preview we take a look at which Nottingham acts will be gracing the stages in three more Nottingham venues.

Stealth

A trio of Nottingham acts will be kicking things off in Stealth, starting with the sensational and hugely popular indie band GREAT BRITISH WEATHER, these guys are a joy to watch, always putting on great gigs and with new material on the way are well worth checking out.

ONEGIRLONEBOY may have only been around since last Autumn but this duo – formed from the ashes of the wonderful Patchwork Grace – have wasted no time in making their mark on the Nottingham scene winning the inaugural Notts Factor last October and gracing the stage at the DHP One’s to Watch event – as well as performing a brilliant NottinghamLIVE Radio Show special.

Exciting duo I AM LONO wrap up the opening trio with a set of pounding, paranoid pop music at 3.30pm.

As if that wasn’t enough Nottingham producer KIRK SPENCER will wrap things up on the Stealth stage at 3 am helping you while the early hours away with his wonderful sounds.

Bodega (upstairs & downstairs)

Funky folk star BRAD DEAR is the only Nottingham act on taking to the upstairs stage of Bodega, having played at various festivals across the UK and Europe over recent months Brad is fast making his mark and a stellar NottinghamLIVE Radio Show session further cemented that – catch him at 2pm.

Meanwhile there is also only a sole Nottingham representative downstairs in the Bodega, this time it’s Nottingham pop, shoegaze outfit ALASKAN FACTION, who will be closing proceedings at 10.30pm, make sure to check out this young band of uni students.

Jongleurs

Just up the road from Bodega and comedy club Jongleurs will become a live music venue for the night, with the excellent Lucy Rose topping the bill, kicking things off however will be two of Nottingham’s stand out acts.

THE BARNUM MESERVE are one of the city’s best live acts presenting loud, powerful, atmospheric sounds these guys are working on a debut album that is eagerly anticipated and this may well be a chance to hear some new stuff when they take to the stage at 2.30pm.

GEORGIE ROSE, for those living under a rock, is one of a number of amazing female vocalists from this fine city, after a sensational 2012 that saw her establish herself as a definite one to watch Georgie is continuing to show how good she is and is well worth catching on Sunday when she follows Barnum at 3.30pm
