For fans of Notts County there are few people that have done as much to warrant the tag of club legend as the guest for the second episode of NG Meets … Les Bradd.
Bradd made around 400 appearances for the Magpies in 11 years at the club and his 125 goals are still a club record. Les has remained a part of the club even after the end of his playing days holding numerous jobs behind the scenes (as well as a short stint across the river) and even now, in his retirement, still acts as an ambassador for the club.
Now, as he celebrates his 70th birthday and also the 50th anniversary of signing for the club to which he is best associated, Bradd has released his autobiography Far Post.
Ahead of the release of the book we sat down with Les at Meadow Lane to talk about his years at County, his most memorable goals, scoring the first goal of his career at Meadow Lane – against Notts, his thoughts on the current set up at the club and how football has changed since his playing days.
This is a must listen to show not just for County fans but for football lovers in general.
Les Bradd’s autobiography Far Post is available now from the Notts County club shop
Thanks to Notts County for hosting the recording of this show.
