NOTTINGHAM’S top shops have been honoured last night (19 October) during intu’s annual retailer awards, hosted by The Only Way is Essex’s James ‘Arg’ Argent.

Five thousand shoppers from across the region voted for their favourite retailers from both intu Victoria Centre and intu Broadmarsh, with winners being awarded the top accolades during a ceremony supported by Gem 106.

Ed’s Easy Dinner was crowned Retailer of the Year – intu Victoria Centre, and scooped three awards on the night, while Wilko was named Retailer of the Year – intu Broadmarsh. Gina Steed of Chisholm Hunter and Fiona Launders of The Perfume Shop were voted asStore Manager of the Year for intu Victoria Centre and intu Broadmarsh respectively.

Nigel Wheatley, general manager for intu in Nottingham, said: “The annual retailer awards recognise the very best stores across intu Victoria Centre and intu Broadmarsh and we are delighted that so many of our customers cast their votes.

“We’re constantly working hard to refresh our store line-up with new and exciting brands to give our customers the best possible shopping experience. We’ve had a fantastic calibre of retailers join us over the last 12 months and are already seeing amazing successes.

“We would like to congratulate all our retailers and we hope the winners will showcase their awards with pride.”
