Ticketing company Gigantic is marking a successful decade in business with a celebratory live music event featuring one of Nottingham’s favourite homegrown bands with more acts to be announced.

Nottingham trio Kagoule will be performing tracks from their debut album, ‘Urth’, as well as their forthcoming album, at the event in May. The Angel Microbrewery is also creating a special Gigantic beer for the occasion. Alongside invited guests, tickets for ‘Gigantic10’, taking place at The Angel, Nottingham on Friday 5 May, go on sale this Friday.

Coming hot on the heels of being announced as a finalist for the coveted Ticketing Company of the Year at the Music Week awards, 2017 also sees Gigantic celebrating record ticket sales with a revenue increase of 24 percent year on year and the busiest January ever in its 10-year history.

Gigantic founder, Mark Gasson said: “As a Nottingham based company with a significant national reach, we like to do our bit to support the local music scene so it seems right to feature an established homegrown band at our own milestone event.

“The ticketing landscape has changed dramatically since we set up. In the face of fast paced technological change, we’ve gone from manually printing hundreds of tickets each week to now sending e-tickets to customers for events that have become completely paperless. I’m proud that Gigantic remains a strong, ethical operator within the competitive ticketing sector and look forward to marking this achievement with our loyal friends, clients and customers.”

Since its launch in 2007, Gigantic has established an impressive roster of loyal clients and customers, as well as seen its revenue more than treble, and now offers the third largest inventory amongst UK ticketing companies. Key clients include major event promoters Live Nation, Kilimanjaro and DHP Family as well as offering a complete ticketing solution to key festivals such as Tramlines. Within the region, the Lace Market based company provides box office systems for DHP Family venues including Rock City and Rescue Rooms, and takes sole responsibility for citycard registrations at Splendour Festival. Gigantic is also the lead ticketing agent for Dinosaurs of China at Wollaton Hall, Southwell Folk Festival and Hockley Hustle.

Gigantic has also increased its office space by more than 500 percent to accommodate its growth, recently making its second office move to a two storey purpose built space in Nottingham, and has developed a database of more than 500,000 subscribers.

Tickets are on sale from Friday 24 February 2017 for ‘Gigantic10’ on 5 May at The Angel priced at £5 each: www.gigantic.com/gigantic10-tickets.
