Nottingham News/Sport: On-Call Recruitment launch #Grassroots10k scheme for local football clubs

Nottingham may well be the City of Football but for it’s professional teams this has been a year to forget, still look beyond the two clubs who play just a river apart and you’ll see a burgeoning local scene, every weekend fields across the city play host to hundreds of footballers who take to the field for no other reason than a love of the beautiful game.

 

Now a Nottingham recruitment company is looking to give a shot in the arm to these local clubs with the launch of a new initiative to mark its 10th birthday. On Call Recruitment have announced plans to donate £10,000 to local football teams as part of #Grassroots10k and they’re calling one clubs to get in touch for a chance to earn a cut of the cash.

 

On-Call Managing Director Adrian Rawden said: “It’s been a big year for Nottingham with it being named the first ever City Of Football in the UK, so I thought it would be nice for On-call to do it’s part to help build a legacy for clubs desperately in need of financial support.”

 

There are no stipulations on what clubs can ask for the money to go towards whether it be money towards new kits of a new coat of paint for the clubhouse all requests will be considered by the On-Call team.

 

On-Call, who already sponsor a number of local clubs including Arnold Town Ladies, will not only be handing over the money but will follow the progress of each successful club featuring them on their website and social media channels throughout the 2016/17 season.

 

Anyone interested in putting in an application should contact stuart@oncallrecruitment.co.uk stating their name, contact details the club the application is for and your affiliation with them. The email should also state what the funding is needed for and an estimation of the amount needed. Most important of all you need to say, in your own words, what impact the funding would have on your club and the local community.

 

The deadline for applications will be 12 noon on Friday 1 July.
