NLC & Orange Amplifiers Rockin for the Children Festival

It’s raised over £18,000 in seven years but 2018 will see the final curtain for the NLC & Orange Amplifiers Rockin for the Children Festival – at least in its current form.

Festival founder, and head organiser, Dave Tonge has decided this is the last year for him, at least in terms of heading the whole thing up, but he is determined to go out partying and, along with co-organiser JJ Watts, has put together a line up featuring a number of bands who have supported the festival over the past half decade plus.

Dubbed The Final Legacy the festival will, once again, take place over the May Day bank holiday weekend and will, of course, be happening at The Maze, the festivals longtime home. There will be two days of live music featuring over twenty acts including the now “infamous” NLC All Stars who will wrap things up on the Saturday night.

Among the other acts that will be taking to the stage this year are The Idol Dead, Fahran, Phluid, Together Alone, Hells Addiction, Theia, The Midnight Dogs and The Senton Bombs, plus more.

Of course it is not just about partying when it comes to the Rockin for the Children festival, it’s also about raising money and once again the festival will be supporting two great children’s charities in NLC for Autistic Children, which over the past few years has provided IPad’s to various schools around the country which can be used to help autistic children, and Rock Against Child Pornography and Abuse (RACPA) UK, who provide support and education to help children use the internet safely.

Tickets for the weekend are a bargain £20 and can ONLY be purchased in advance, there will be none available on the door. Tickets will go off sale mid March so make sure you snap yours up quick and do not miss this final (possibly) party. Tickets can be purchased here – where you can also pre-order the official 2018 t-shirt.

We will have more on the festival as it draws nearer and Dave will, hopefully, be joining our friends over at NG Digital for an episode of NG Meets in the run up to the event – in the meantime you can find out more on the official Facebook group.

We’ll see you at the front this May. #2018TheFinalLegacy
