The band self released their sophomore album “I Want the World’ on 29th March on their own label, Puke Pop Records. They celebrated by selling out both album launch shows, including Nambucca in London. They continue to get rave reviews on their new album from across the industry.

Industry tastemakers ‘This Feeling’ have tipped them for “Big in 2019’ and Spotify have included them in their #HotNewBands playlist. The band have also been getting a good amount of radio airplay since the release with John Kennedy Radio X who chose ‘Its My Fault’ for ‘Track of the Day’ Steve Lamacq also played ‘Big Boy’ on his Recommends show on 6 Radio.

Four of the singles released from the album have also been played frequently on BBC Sheffield Introducing, Planet Rock and Kerrang Radio, with Sophie K playing ‘Its My Fault’ as her song of the week in March and “I Want The World’ making the Kerrang Spotify playlist.

Hands Off Gretel are a sassy alternative grunge pop band from South Yorkshire. The band is Lauren Tate (guitar, vox), Sean Bon (guitar) Sam Hobbins (drums) and Becky Baldwin (bass)

They have bounced back from the Pledge Music crisis stronger than ever, with the fanbase really getting behind the band when the crowd funding platform went bust earlier this year, taking all their fans money for pre-orders. They quickly set up their own label and have distributed over 2,000 albums through their website alone.

There’s certainly a buzz of excitement around the band at the moment which they now look to take on the road.
