Friday 1 July 1pm-2pm

A group of writers currently attending the 55+ Creative Writing course at the Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham are launching an anthology of their work entitled Marbles Don’t Cry.  The official launch of the book will take place at 1pm on Friday 1 July on the Theatre Royal’s Dress Circle foyer, where members of the group will perform pieces of their work.

This free LIVE AT LAUNCH event is open to the public, no ticket required, from 1pm to 2pm.

Marbles Don’t Cry contains poetry and prose contributed by members of the 55+ Creative Writing course. The theme of the anthology is the whole of life;humour, truth and love. Course participant, Barry Harper, said: ‘This has been a very exciting project, we are a very close knit group of writers and I have been really impressed with the standard of the pieces.’

Marbles Don’t Cry is available to purchase from the Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall foyers from Friday 1 July onwards and is priced at £5.  A proportion of the proceeds will be donated to the Nottinghamshire Bereavement Support Service, CRUSE.
