Nottingham city centre is teaming with excellent nights featuring a huge array of top local musical talent, however sometimes it is nice to see that talent head out of the city centre and into “the sticks”, spreading their sound.
This weekend a brand new festival will be doing just that when the Kimberley Jam takes over the town of Kimberley one the outskirts of Nottingham. The event will see a diverse mix of musical talent performing at seven of the towns public houses and it’s all to raise money for a great cause.
The event will be raising money for the Ryan Lee Trust, a charity formed in 2010, that offers support to children and teenagers diagnosed with brain tumours and other cancers.
There will be plenty of different acts to catch no matter what you’re musical tastes, the live entertainment at each venue kicks off at 3pm and runs right through until about 11pm at night.
Some of the acts you can catch on the day include:
Nelson & Railway: The Bijoux Angels, The Motherfolkers and Gloria’s Angels.
The Cricketers Rest: David Lacey, Silas Max and Tom Tedds
The Gate: Kit Mason Trio, Leah Sinead and Matt Robinson
The Chapel: Memphis Flash, Leetabix, Hot Money and Blue Vulture
The Lord Clyde: Dreaded Monkey
Plus you can expect much much more including live music at The White Lion and The Stag, which will also be holding its own beer festival on the day.
So why not try something a little different this Saturday and head over to Kimberley where you can check out some great music, enjoy a drink and donate to a great cause.
