IT’S IN NOTTINGHAM LETTER TO SANTA

Christmas is fast approaching, excitement is building and children are starting to think about their letter to Santa, so why not get your little one to enter the It’s in Nottingham competition for them to be in with a chance of winning a share of £600 worth of gifts from their Christmas list.

There will be three prizes in total – £300, £200 and £100 worth of gifts and the competition is open to children aged 12 years and under. With so much to choose from, families are being encouraged to come into Nottingham to enjoy the magic of Christmas and visit the shops in the city centre to see all the fantastic offerings, before writing their letter to Santa.

Letters can be posted in to the special festive It’s in Nottingham pillar-box, which will be on Bridlesmith Gate, between Flannels and Diesel, from Monday 25 November until midday on Thursday 12 December 2019.

To win, the items on the list must be available from stores in Nottingham city centre.  Terms and conditions apply and these can be found at www.itsinnottingham.com/christmas.

It’s in Nottingham letter templates can be downloaded from the website and can also be found in stores around the city centre. A list of shops can be viewed at: www.itsinnottingham.com/christmas.

Alternatively, children are encouraged to get creative with their own letter as Santa loves to see drawings, pictures and Christmas doodles. Just be sure to include name and contact details on the letter.

The lucky winners will be notified on Thursday 12 December and will be invited, with their families, to Nottingham to receive their gifts.

Nottingham Business Improvement District (BID), the organisers of this It’s in Nottingham initiative, will also be matching the overall value of the prize with a donation to local children’s cancer support charity, PASIC, based at Queen’s Medical Centre.

Richard Johal, a director of Nottingham BID, said: “Christmas is such a magical time of the year for all the family, but especially for children so we are delighted to be running this competition to make some wishes come true as well as to try and make Christmas a little better for others. Nottingham has so much to offer this Christmas from stores brimming with festive cheer, seasonal entertainment at our theatres, yuletide fayre in the bars and restaurants, to Old Market Square’s Winter Wonderland, making the city a destination of choice.”

Nottingham BID has also produced a 36-page magazine for Christmas, which has been delivered to homes around the region and which is free for people to pick up at shops in the city centre. Packed full of gift ideas for all the family, wrapping ideas, festive fashion, sparkling table decorations, competitions and things to do this Christmas time, there is something for everyone. The magazine can also be viewed online at www.itsinnottingham.com/christmas.
