Highfields Park, the beautiful space sat between Nottingham University and the tram ravaged University Boulevard, will be transformed into a wonderful outdoor contemporary art gallery during the next month.

The event is being created by artist Theresa Caruana, in association with WW Gallery, London and Nottingham University and will present newly commissioned work from artists Chris Meigh Andrews, Kirsty Tinkler, David Lane, Frank Kent, Flora Parrott, Kate Davis, David Moore and Theresa herself.

The Art in Your Park event also offers up the innovating opportunity to combine outdoor and online galleries via use of your smartphone.

Simply search artinyourpark on your smartphones browser while at the park and while exploring the park your phone will buzz and, for example, a statue will talk while the user is stood in front of it.

So why not get on down to Highfields and enjoy an exciting new outdoor gallery as well, of course, as taking in the delights of the park itself – if this weather stays up you can even take a long a picnic.
