Multi award-winning recording artist Katie Melua has announced an extensive European tour for winter 2018, including 13 UK dates.

Katie will be joined by a cast of stellar musicians, as well as members of Gori Women’s Choir who featured on the silver-certified 2016 album ‘In Winter’. ‘In Winter’ was recorded in Georgia, and commanded some of the finest reviews of her career with the Sunday Times describing it as “bewitching…ravishing…spellbinding” and the Independent as “exquisite” and “remarkable.” The associated 2016 tour, which saw Katie and the choir undertake 28 performances across 8 countries received universal acclaim from music critics and audiences alike.

Next winter will see another expansive set of live performances, which will include songs from ‘In Winter’ alongside brand new recordings and catalogue classics adapted for the stage.

The announcement follows the release of the 2xCD Special Edition of ‘In Winter’, which includes the BBC Children in Need 2017 single ‘Fields Of Gold’. The second disc, recorded at Admiralspalast, Berlin, includes live renditions of the entire ‘In Winter’ album, as well as new choral arrangements of hits such as ‘Closest Thing To Crazy’, ‘Nine Million Bicycles’, and ‘I Cried For You’ performed with the Gori Women’s Choir.
