Winner of the 2016 X-Factor Matt Terry drops his debut album Trouble to our headsets 24th November 2017 and we have our hands on a copy before the release date.

Matt’s album centres around relationship, heartbreak & moving on. Matt recently
released his new single Sucker For You along with the video.

Track Listing:

1. Sucker For You
2. Got You
3. Trouble
4. The Thing About Love
5. Try
6. Re-Writing History
7. Original ft RedOne
8. Don’t Ask
9. Mama ft Ana Mena
10. Weigh Me Down
11. Not You
12. Romeo Y Juliet
13. Heartless
14. SUBEME LA RADIO REMIX – Enrique Iglesias feat. Sean Paul & Matt Terry

Looking at the track list a good variety of songs including the collaboration with Enrique & Sean Paul which is one of my favourite tracks on the album. Matts vocal range throughout the album is great and with his songs being centred around real-life
experiences make for very good listening.

One thing I will say the album will keep you on your feet and moving to the beat as their all pretty much upbeat and easy listening, Matt has outdone himself for his debut album any Matt Terry fans will be happy with this purchase I’d even say there are a good few top 10 chart tracks on this album. As we all know, the 24 Year old who won X-Factor last year, Matt
has excelled himself co-writing the Trouble album and he will be one artist to watch out for.

There is no doubt the future is bright for Matt Terry and as proven with Subeme La Radio even singing in Spanish doesn’t faze him I had chance to catch him sing it live earlier in the year and it was faultless, Matt is an all-around nice guy who also makes time for his fans even replying on his social media sites to questions asked. I wish him the best of luck on his album release but after hearing it he won’t have a problem with it at all, it is truly a great album from start to finish, one that you won’t get tired of listening to and will want to sing along to.

Matt is bland and generic. ‘Sucker for You’ flopped as a single and he has NO stage presence whatsoever. He is wooden. There is no way this guy will ever hold an arena stage for two hours, nor sell enough tickets to do so. The writer of this review is dreaming.

I just listened to the album and as expected, bland and generic. There is nothing amazing about either him or his music. The best song on there is ‘Try’ and that should have been the first single. There is too much of use of his falsetto over every song and RCA have made the same mistake that Syco made with Fleur East. A generic album, where every song sounds pretty much the same and too few stand out. To keep his record deal the album needs to sell more than a million. Fleur East did not and has been dropped. ‘Sucker for You’ failed to get above 66 in the charts. We will see in about half an hour if the second single charted better. In business terms (and music is a business), that is a flop. It is not mean to call a flop a flop. It is stating a fact. If Matt does not sell enough records, he won’t hang on to that deal. And he is going to be competing with people like Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift etc to get anywhere near the top ten, all three of which have far more talent that Matt can ever hope to have, both as a songwriter and performer. Matt is in the typical XFactor winner, and how many winners, especially male soloists go on to have more than one album out? That should tell you everything you need to know.
